About
The mind is a beautiful place to explore, but sometimes it's scary! It can feel like a great adventure learning to reframe old thinking patterns to change your and improve your life. It is a great honor and privilege to be trusted to go on this healing journey with you.
I hold my Masters in Social Work (MSW) and have continued on to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I have worked in the mental health field in some type of position for the past 10 years. As a therapist, I have served all populations, including gerontology, families, substance use disorders, children, adolescents, inmates, first responders, and veterans. I continue to enjoy the variety in serving all populations.
I am trained as a birth-to-five specialist, in Eye Movement De-sensation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Advanced Motivational Interviewing, and several other evidence-based models. I most often use these models in addition to Cognitive Behavioral Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I believe that a trusting relationship can be the most impactful part of the therapeutic experience, and that is my first priority as your therapist. I look forward to going on this healing journey with you.

Fran is named after the famous human therapist Francine Shapiro. She is a Miniature Austrian Sheppard that was born and bred on a ranch right here in Camp Verde on March 5, 2021. Fran is currently pursuing her education as a certified Therapy Dog. While she is pursuing her credentials, she works in the office every day with Lena as a "therapy dog in training." She is most comfortable with many populations especially teens and young children. Her favorite therapy modalities include nuzzling, sittingĀ her clients, and sharing her toys with you. To those in need of extra support, Fran and Lena may allow you to give her a treat (for your benefit of course). At any point during your visit to our office, if you feel uncomfortable with Fran's presence, she has no problem taking a nap in her kennel. Many find her snoring very therapeutic. The team, including Fran's maid Roombia Robot work to keep the office as free of dog allergies as possible.
